AE Upgrade Building 49 #610-26-101

The Architect/Engineer firm selected for this procurement will be responsible for delivering 100 percent design services to upgrade Building 49 at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Marion, Indiana, with all work focused on meeting functional requirements for interior demolition, administration office space, exterior enhancements, full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system upgrades, and the abatement of hazardous materials including mold, asbestos, and lead. The scope encompasses all phases of design from Schematic Design and Design Development through Construction/Bid Documents in strict alignment with the A/E Design Submission Instructions Document, along with Construction Administration Services, Technical Specifications, and detailed Cost Estimates. The project is governed by the VA Acquisition Manual and FAR 36.202-1 and 36.202-2, which establish a most highly qualified selection process requiring the evaluation board to recommend at least three firms based on a comprehensive assessment of professional qualifications, specialized experience in waste reduction and energy conservation, construction administration experience including RFIs and change order support, past performance on government and private sector contracts, capacity to meet program timelines, and local knowledge of the Marion area.
