Full Description

ARC simulation facilities, both physical assets and software assets, shall be referred to as the ARTS Facilities, are unique national research and development facilities dedicated to providing researchers with high-fidelity environments to conduct simulated flight and air traffic management (ATM) research and advance the state-of-the-art of simulation technology. Researchers use the facilities to investigate a variety of topics ranging from the design of new aircraft guidance and control systems to the human factors implications of new or existing flight deck displays, airspace operations.
Technical services to support the simulation facilities and the persistent software facilities located at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Ames Research Center (ARC) and the Flight Simulation Facilities at Langley Research Center (LaRC).
