Aggregate, 78M Granite-Div 2 (Special Maintenance Operations Group)

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is establishing an agency-specific term contract for the procurement and delivery of Aggregate 78M Granite Material to Division 2 county locations. This material is utilized by the Special Maintenance Operations Group for the construction of roads, bridges, and other surfaces, as well as weather-related projects. The contract is for an initial term of one year, with the possibility of extensions, and materials are to be provided on an as-needed basis. Estimated quantities range from 700 to 2,000 tons across Beaufort, Pitt, Craven, Lenoir, Greene, Jones, and Pamlico counties. Bids are due electronically via the electronic Vendor Portal by October 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET. Awards will be based on the responsive bid offering the lowest price that meets all specifications, though the state may consider promptness of delivery and suitability for intended use. To be eligible, vendors must be registered in North Carolina and in good standing. Deliveries are accepted Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and vendors must provide a 24-hour notice prior to delivery. For Lenoir, Greene, Jones, and Pamlico counties, deliveries must be completed within 20 consecutive calendar days after receipt of an order. The contract includes strict compliance requirements, including E-Verify for employers with more than 25 employees and adherence to fair employment standards. Vendors must provide certifications of financial condition and disclose the location of their workers. Invoicing must be handled via single invoices for each order and remitted to the NCDOT. Final acceptance of goods is subject to approval by the Contract Manager and the completion of all applicable assessment procedures.
