Albert Biella Elementary School Modernization Project

The Albert Biella Elementary School Modernization Project, managed by Santa Rosa City Schools, involves comprehensive site improvements and facility upgrades at 2140 Jennings Ave, Santa Rosa, California. The scope of work focuses on the reconfiguration and modernization of Building C kindergarten classrooms, the Building E classroom pod, and two Building F portables, including the remodeling of bathrooms in these areas. Exterior enhancements include the replacement of exterior doors, the addition of new fencing, and the development of three new play areas in the school courtyard, one of which is specifically for kindergarten students. Additional site work includes reconfiguring the parking area to provide 46 standard stalls and 2 accessible stalls, complemented by new landscaping with trees and shrubs and the removal of eight existing landscape trees. The project also prioritizes accessibility through the installation of new ADA-accessible ramps and drop-off facilities. Construction is scheduled for an eight-month period from January 2026 through August 2026. The project has been granted environmental clearance under the California Environmental Quality Act CEQA Class 1 exemption for existing facilities.
