The Alberta Recycling Management Authority (“ARMA”) is accepting proposals, through the process of Request for Proposal, qualified investment advisory firms to assist with the management and performance of the ARMA’s Investment Portfolio by providing non-discretionary management of the portfolio. ARMA’s short-term investments consist of money market securities, guaranteed investment certificates and bonds while the long-term investments consist of bonds and fixed income and Canadian and global equities. ARMA follows the policy of recording at market value, which can generate unrealized gains and losses on investments. The portfolio is held primarily for trading purposes. The portfolio is managed by third-party investment managers and is subject to an investment policy set by ARMA’s Board of Directors with the main objective of capital preservation.
