Algerine Bridge Replacement Project

Tuolumne County, in cooperation with Caltrans, is initiating the Algerine Bridge Replacement Project to replace the existing Algerine Road Bridge crossing Algerine Creek. The project focuses on improving public safety by increasing the bridge to a standard two-lane width without adding extra lane capacity. To ensure adequate hydraulic clearance, the new bridge will be constructed on a new alignment approximately five feet north of the current horizontal alignment with a higher profile grade. This forecast project is managed by Tuolumne County in California, with Denise Zitnik serving as the primary point of contact. The project is scheduled for posting on September 1, 2026, and will be performed within the state of California.
