Alpine Springs Mobile Home Park

The Palmdale Water District is soliciting bids for the Alpine Springs Mobile Home Park project, located at 36223 Sierra Hwy, Palmdale, California. The scope of work involves the installation of approximately 1,763 linear feet of 12-inch CL350 DCML ductile iron pipe, along with various other pipe sizes, 40 linear feet of 24-inch dry-bored steel casing pipe, a 12-inch by 4-inch pressure reducing valve with concrete vault, and a 4-inch large meter with concrete vault. Additional requirements include surveying, base and finishing paving, testing, disinfection, and the delivery of as-built drawings. The project is funded by the Urgent Drinking Water Needs Grant from the California State Water Resources Control Board, with a construction completion deadline of October 2027 and water quality sampling results required by September 2027. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Eligible contractors must hold a California Class A or C-34 license and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders are required to provide bid security of at least 10 percent of the bid amount, and the successful awardee must provide faithful performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the total bid price. Local contractors or vendors may receive a five percent bid reduction for the purpose of determining the lowest responsible bidder. Compliance with prevailing wage laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Executive Order N-6-22 regarding Russian sanctions is mandatory. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the OpenGov portal by October 13, 2026.
