The Department of Defense, through the MCIEAST-MCB Camp Lejeune Contracting Department, has cancelled its previous intent to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to JWC Environmental LLC for specific macerator units and grinders. The original plan was to procure various models of the "Chanel Monster System" and "Muffin Monster Grinder" equipment, each designed to handle different flow capacities for the Camp Lejeune Public Works Division. The justification for sole source acquisition was based on statutory authority allowing the agency to contract with only one responsible source when no other supplies or services satisfy the requirement. Despite the cancellation of the sole source intent, a formal solicitation numbered M67001-17-Q-0030 had been developed and remains available upon request. Interested and responsible firms were encouraged to submit responses demonstrating their capability to fulfill the requirement by the specified deadline. All submissions would be considered if received on time, although this notice was not a request for competitive quotes. Points of contact for inquiries or submissions included designated contracting specialists and officers located at Camp Lejeune, NC, ensuring proper communication and response handling regarding this procurement.
