AMPV/ M113 Family of Vehicles System Technical Support (STS), Sustainment System Technical Support (SSTS), and Post Production Sustainment Support (PPSS) services contract.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command–Detroit Arsenal plans to extend contract W56HZV-21-D-0018 with BAE Systems Land & Armaments, L.P. by exercising a six-month option under the Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.217-9, extending performance from January 7, 2027, through July 6, 2027. This continuation ensures the ongoing provision of critical System Technical Support, Post-Production System Support, and Sustainment System Technical Support for the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle and M113 Families of Vehicles, encompassing engineering, logistics, and field services necessary for product development, production adjustments, and lifecycle sustainment under Project Manager Mounted Armored Vehicles. The extension is necessary due to BAE Systems’ unique role as the Original Equipment Manufacturer, where complete Technical Data Packages are not available for competitive sourcing, making it the sole responsible source under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and RFO FAR 6.103-1(c)(2)(ii). Although the Government will not issue a separate solicitation, all responsible sources may submit capability statements for consideration. The contract remains restricted solely to BAE Systems, reflecting the non-competitive nature justified by proprietary and technical exclusivity.
