N66001-21-Q-6418 - Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source to the University of Central Florida This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to the University of Central Florida, DUNS 150805653, CAGE Code 9H673, of 4000 Central Florida Blvd. Orlando, FL, 32816-8005. The requirement is for experimental laser system testing. The Government intends to negotiate solely with the University of Central Florida under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Only one source capable of meeting the Government's requirement. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, applies. The applicable NAICS Code is 541330 and the size standard is $16.5 million. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may submit a quote which may be considered by the Government. Comments, questions or concerns regarding this notice may be submitted via e-mail ONLY to contact@example.gov by 16 July 2021, 12 PM Pacific Time (PT). All responses received by this date may be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
