The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source IDIQ contract with firm fixed price orders to BAE Systems Information and Electronics of Greenlawn, New York (BAE) for the FY 17-18 requirements of AN/APX-111 Mode 5 Combined Interrogator Transponders (CIT), Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRA) for the AN/APX-111 Mode 5 CIT, Kits to convert previous configurations of the APX-111 CIT to the Mode 5 configuration (Mode 5 Change Kits), Integration of Mode 5 Change Kits, and test asset repairs. The FY17 basic contract award will procure up to (184) AN/APX-111 Mode 5 CIT, up to (195) Mode 5 Change Kits, up to (52) integrations of Mode 5 Change Kits, up to (235) SRAs, and up to (6) test asset repairs. The FY18 Option will contain pricing for up to (117) AN/APX-111 Mode 5 CIT, up to (92) Mode 5 Change Kits, up to (397) SRAs, and up to (6) test asset repairs. The quantities listed above are approximations and may be increased slightly if funding permits. Engineering support may be procured in each year of the contract. This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to pursuant to the provisions of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source".
