ANGUS GLEN C.C & PINGLE HOUSE FIRE ALARM REPLACEMENT

The City of Markham is soliciting bids for solicitation 058-T-26 to replace the fire alarm systems at Angus Glen C.C. and the Pingle House. The scope of work involves the replacement and modification of control and annunciator panels, as well as initiating and signaling devices, to replace systems originally installed in 2003. The project is anticipated to begin in January 2027 and conclude in April 2027. Key deliverables include a detailed Gantt chart work schedule with bi-weekly updates, a Domestic Supply Chain Plan ensuring at least 50% of the bid price is spent on Ontario or Canadian goods and services, and a twelve-month warranty period following substantial completion. Award decisions will be based on the lowest bid price excluding taxes, provided the bidder is compliant with the mandatory domestic supply attestation. The successful contractor must provide a bid bond and subsequent performance and labour and materials bonds, each equal to 50% of the total bid price. Additionally, the contractor must maintain commercial general liability insurance of 5,000,000.00 dollars. All work must adhere to the Ontario Building Code, the City's noise by-law 2017-74, and AODA accessibility standards. Performance will be evaluated by the City Project Manager using a scorecard focusing on quality, project management, cost control, and product performance.
