AI Contract Overview
NASA is soliciting proposals through Announcement for Proposals NNH26ZNA001R to establish nonreimbursable partnerships with creators who can help tell compelling stories about NASA’s missions and inspire the public, particularly the next generation of explorers. This initiative seeks to collaborate with filmmakers, documentarians, songwriters, poets, musicians, and other artistic individuals or teams, with a preference for U.S.-based entities; however, proposals involving international participants are eligible if led by a U.S. organization that will enter into the Space Act Agreement with NASA. All interested parties must obtain the full solicitation document from NSPIRES by searching for the solicitation number or using the provided link and are solely responsible for monitoring the site for any amendments or updates. Proposals must be submitted no later than July 15, 2026, at 3:59 a.m. ET and should focus on embedding creators within NASA programs to authentically capture and communicate the depth and wonder of NASA’s work. The point of contact for inquiries is John Kraus at HQ-CommsProposals@mail.nasa.gov, and the solicitation is managed by NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C., under NAICS code 541613 for creative and technical services.

Full Description
On or after the release date of this special notice, a full copy of the announcement for proposal (AFP) may be downloaded from the NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES) at NSPIRES - Solicitations Summary by searching on number NNH26ZNA001R or by using the direct link provided. It is the responsibility interested parties to monitor NSPIRES for amendments, if any. Interested parties also are responsible for downloading their own copy of the document(s) from NSPIRES.
NASA is seeking partners on a nonreimbursable (no exchange of funds) basis to share the stories behind, and the insights into, a multitude of NASA programs. NASA will support partners in this effort to share the stories of NASA’s missions with the widest audience possible and inspire the next generation of explorers.
This AFP outlines the process for a respondent (“Respondent”) to submit a proposal (“Proposal”) to partner with NASA to tell a story about one or more of the exciting and inspiring missions NASA is pursuing. NASA welcomes responses from filmmakers, documentarians, songwriters, storytellers, poets, musicians or other creators – either private individuals, entities or teams. NASA is looking to entertain proposals from U.S. creators, though proposals which include a minority of international participants on a team led by a U.S.-entity who will enter into the Space Act Agreement with NASA will be considered.
