Annual HVAC Maintenance

The Town of Burlington Department of Public Works has issued an Invitation for Bid for annual HVAC maintenance and repair services across various municipal facilities, including the Main Fire Station, Library, and Grandview Farm. The project, estimated at $140,000, encompasses two primary components: scheduled preventative maintenance involving quarterly, semi-annual, and annual tasks such as filter changes, coil cleaning, and system inspections, as well as on-call emergency repair services. Bids must be submitted in a sealed format to the Department of Public Works by 9:00 AM on September 2, 2026, following a mandatory site walkthrough scheduled for August 18, 2026. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder based on the total price bid. To qualify, bidders and their subcontractors must demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience and provide evidence of five successfully completed projects of similar size and scope. Compliance with Massachusetts prevailing wage laws is mandatory, and all employees must have completed an OSHA-approved 10-hour construction safety and health course. Additionally, bidders are required to provide a five percent bid bond, while the successful contractor must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds. Payments for preventative maintenance will be processed quarterly in arrears, subject to approval by the Superintendent.
