The Program Executive Officer for Integrated Warfare Systems, in collaboration with the Chief of Naval Operations, is organizing an Industry Day focused on addressing the U.S. Navy's Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) challenges. This event aims to foster dialogue between government and industry representatives to explore technical and operational issues related to ASW, laying the groundwork for joint efforts to enhance ASW capabilities. Industry participants, including domestic and foreign firms, small businesses, educational institutions, and minority-serving organizations, are invited to present innovative concepts and employment strategies that could shape future Navy solicitations. The Industry Day will take place on August 6, 2003, at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C., and requires separate registration with attendance limited to three representatives per organization. Following this initial discussion, a series of specialized workshops will be held in the first quarter of FY04 on topics such as active detection techniques, sensor networking, intelligence, and systems engineering at the Battlegroup level. Details and schedules of these workshops will be announced approximately 30 days before their occurrence through official channels. The Navy’s objective is to identify promising solutions and conduct funded demonstrations within the next few years. Participants in subsequent solicitations must ensure they possess the necessary facility and personnel clearances to meet security standards. This event is unclassified, and potential attendees are encouraged to register early and contact designated representatives for assistance if needed.
