This work is for the United States Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for the State of Illinois.


The work consists of the mobilization and demobilization of the contractor's forces and equipment necessary for performing the work required under the contract; clearing and grubbing and disposal of trees, snags, logs, brush, stumps, shrubs, and rubbish from the designated areas; excavation required by the drawings and specifications and disposal of the excavated materials; construction of earth embankments, other earthfills, and earth backfills required by the drawings and specifications; furnishing and installing plastic pipe (except corrugated polyethylene pipe) and the necessary fittings and appurtenances as shown on the drawings or as specified herein; furnishing and placing circular, arched, or elliptical corrugated metal pipe and the necessary fittings; preparing the area for treatment; furnishing and placing seed, sprigs, mulch, fertilizer, inoculant, lime, and other soil amendments; and anchoring mulch in designated areas as specified.
