Advance Procurement Notice Stone Conservator Consultant Services - Standing offer (SO) CFB Kingston, Ontario Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice to provide interested consultants information regarding of a potential Standing Offer (SO) for Stone Conservator Services.  There are no anticipated security requirements. Note that there is no guarantee that this Standing Offer will proceed. Description of the Standing Offer Services The Consultant will be required to provide “as and when required” Quality Assurance (QA) testing and inspection services for upcoming heritage masonry restoration projects. The proponent will be required to visit quarry sites to inspect stone quality prior to shipment to construction site. The services may include, but are not limited to the following: Review stone sourcing investigation report produced by NORR Architects; Review the tender packages, including drawings, specifications and unit rate tables for each limestone restoration project stone requirements; Carry out inspection of stone quality at quarry site(s) on behalf of DND; Coordinate with contractors and quarry owners to ensure quality control of the stone selection on restoration projects during construction; Must be available to visit the quarry site within 72 hrs of call-up notice; and Assess new quarries for stone material suitability as a source for buildings located at CFB Kingston. SO for QA inspection of quarried stone with one (1) firm for three (3) years with an option to add up to two additional, one (1) year extensions. SO value for $500,000.00 with possibility to extend by another $250,000.00 at any time as these services might be requested at other locations in Ontario. The total possible maximum value of the SO will be $750,000.00. Call-ups expected to range from $20,000-$300,000 with a maximum value of $300,000. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be initiated in May 2023. This is conditional on the Standing Offer receiving approval to proceed from Department of National Defence (DND).
