Aquatrak Tidal Gauges

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection intends to award a single source contract to Aquatrak Corporation for the supply, installation, testing, and maintenance of up to 150 Aquatrak Water Level tide gauges across Florida. With a total contract value of $2,050,250.00, this procurement is justified under Florida Statute 287.057 because Aquatrak is the sole manufacturer and service provider of the Model 5000 Sensors. These proprietary sensors are essential for the Bureau of Survey and Mapping to meet statutory obligations for coastal mapping and tidal surveying while ensuring data integrity and compliance with NOAA CO-OPS standards. The scope of work includes the deployment of high-accuracy gauges to monitor water levels, wind, and barometric pressure, providing critical data for storm surge prediction, beach management, and scientific research. Performance will take place at various sites statewide, and the contractor is responsible for ensuring that all installations meet federal and state hydrographic standards.
