AI Contract Overview
The contract involves the delivery and installation of an additional adjustable storage system consisting of six shelves designed to accommodate a variety of military weapons, including 21 M240 machine guns, 30 M249 light machine guns, 10 M110 sniper rifles, and a standalone rack for four M2 weapons. The configuration specifies three racks each holding seven M240s, two racks each holding 12 M249s, and one rack containing four M110s along with six M249s. Most racks measure 89 1/2 inches in height, 42 3/8 inches in length, and 16 5/8 inches in width, equipped with externally lockable doors. The mobile shelf unit is 10 feet 7 1/8 inches long and 33 1/4 inches wide, designed to fit existing rolling tracks, which must be extended by 33 1/4 inches to accommodate the new shelving. The standalone rack for the M2 weapons is 61 3/8 inches high, 42 3/8 inches long, and 16 5/8 inches wide, also featuring lockable doors. Due to size constraints in the available space, standalone storage racks are not feasible; thus, the shelving system must be modular and compatible with the current Spacesaver Storage Systems, as specified by the brand name solicitation. The contract is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 337215 and is issued by the Department of Defense at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Honolulu, Hawaii. The solicitation was posted on May 21, 2026, with a response deadline of June 3, 2026. Point of contacts for inquiries include Dominick Dockery and Angel Liu, reachable via phone and email. The contract aims to upgrade armory storage to better secure and organize a diverse inventory of weapons within the existing footprint.
