The Federal Aviation Administration intends to award a contract to CIAO Wireless, Inc. for the modification and procurement of 239 ARSR4 Low Noise Amplifiers/Limiters (LNAs), specifically updating rev1 and rev2 versions to rev3. These LNAs are critical components for the ARSR4 Radar system, and CIAO Wireless, Inc. is the sole source manufacturer and designer of these proprietary units, originally created as form, fit, and functional replacements for obsolete OEM parts. Given the unique nature of the LNAs and the proprietary design held exclusively by CIAO Wireless, the FAA has determined that a single-source acquisition is in its best interest. CIAO Wireless, Inc. was selected through open competition as the original manufacturer and remains the current contractor under prior agreements, with extensive historical data on previous orders. The procurement will be conducted under NAICS code 334511, which covers manufacturing of search, detection, navigation, and guidance systems. Communications regarding this contract must be submitted exclusively in writing via email to the FAA contracting officer, Jason Perry, by the specified deadline. This announcement serves purely informational purposes and is not a solicitation open to other vendors.
