Asbestos Inspection Services for Lee County Community Development Block Grant - Neighborhood Revitalization

Lee County is seeking qualified North Carolina Licensed Asbestos Inspectors to conduct inspections of up to four residential structures slated for demolition under the Community Development Block Grant – Neighborhood Revitalization program, which is funded by the North Carolina Department of Commerce’s Rural Economic Development Division. The inspections are critical to ensure compliance with asbestos regulations prior to demolition activities, and the selected contractor will be required to perform all services in accordance with state and federal environmental safety standards. The County plans to issue a Notice to Proceed approximately 30 days after contract award, with solicitation bids due by July 7, 2026, at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. All bids must be submitted in two complete paper packages, labeled “Asbestos Inspection Services Proposal,” and delivered by mail or in person to the Lee County Finance Office at 115 Chatham Street, Suite 301, Sanford, NC 27330; digital submissions will not be accepted, and failure to submit two packages will result in automatic rejection.
