Asphalt Materials

The Boone County Public Works Department is soliciting bids under solicitation number BCFY27-21 for the supply of asphalt materials for the period of January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027. The scope of work includes the provision of Class 2 Asphalt Surface 0.38D PG 64-22, Class 2 Asphalt Base 0.75D PG 64-22, and Fine Cold Patch, available in both bulk tons and 50lb bags. Materials must meet specific asphalt content requirements, with surface material at 5.6% and base material at 4.5%, with monthly adjustments determined by the Kentucky Average Price Index. Bids must be submitted electronically by November 24, 2026, at 2:00 pm local time. Award decisions will be based on bidder qualifications, including past performance, financial responsibility, and service capabilities, as well as product quality, delivery dates, and warranty provisions. Required submission documents include Resident Bidder Status and Qualified Bidder Status forms, as well as a Purchase Order Acknowledgment. Bidders must certify compliance with the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. All purchases require a valid purchase order, and the contractor is responsible for all safety precautions and delivery costs, as COD is strictly denied.
