Sole Source Synopsis Reference: CDC-87686 Atlas Mapping Software This is a notice of intent to sole source. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341; in accordance with FAR Part 13.106(b) and 41 USC 253 (c) (1) intents to solicit a single source for the Procurement of Instant Atlas software. The CDC intent is to sole source the following requirement to Geowise, LTD. The North American Industry Classification System code is 511210, $25 Million. The purpose of this procurement is acquire interactive mapping software that provides all 8 key requirements of the applicable CDC Program. These 8 key requierements are as follows: 1. Capability to generate Adobe Flash (Adobe, Inc.) maps 2. Interoperability with ESRI GIS shapefile data (ESRI, Inc.) 3. Interoperability with Microsoft Excel and Access 4. Support for geospatial selection and ad-hoc reporting 5. Product creation wizards 6. Multiple templates for single, double and complex maps 7. Support for batch publication of multiple reports and 8. Support for rich cartography (symbol color, style & size). This procurement demonstrates a unique capability which requires this particular software and the CDC believes that this is the only company that can provide for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist on or before 1:00 pm EST on August 19, 2010. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All questions must be in writing and must be emailed to Candice L. Simmons at iie3@cdc.gov. Please reference CDC-87686 Atlas Mapping Software on all correspondence. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the CDC will proceed to sole source this requirement to Geowise LTD.
