Integrating SphereThis contract seeks to acquire two identical integrating spheres along with all necessary supporting components to facilitate precise, traceable spectroradiometric measurements spanning the visible-near infrared to shortwave infrared spectrum. The equipment must deliver an absolute uniform spectral radiance output that is traceable to recognized national metrology standards such as those upheld by the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada or the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States. The design requirements emphasize the need for the system to allow easy adjustment of output levels to accommodate various environmental conditions, including day, night, cloud cover, and full sun scenarios, reflecting the intended use with versatile sensor applications. Issued by the National Research Council of Canada, this solicitation was posted on June 9, 2026, with a response deadline set for July 9, 2026. It specifically addresses a federal procurement need and includes a primary point of contact for the contracting authority, Shawn Doyle. The contract outlines clear performance expectations to ensure the equipment meets stringent calibration and operational requirements, though no specific geographical performance location or set-aside program information is mentioned.
