Requirement
The Department of NRC Aerospace (Aerodynamics Lab) has a requirement for the supply of quantity one small-size fast response anemometer probe with two custom probe tips that capture omni-directional flow in a 2D plane. The product/system/equipment (as applicable) must have a probe body housing sensory system that is no more than 25 mm in diameter with an overall (including body and tip) length of no more than 300 mm. The sensor is required to sample at no less than 1 kHz and measure wind speeds up to 50 m/s with an accuracy of 0.2%FS. Two interchangeable probe tips are required that are custom designed to provide measurement in a 2D plane (one tip oriented perpendicular to the other) for an azimuth of 360 degrees. The accuracy, size and response must be similar to a TFI Cobra probe, but the tips are custom prototypes, with a 360-degree cone of acceptance for two specific 2D planes.
Note to Suppliers
An ACAN will be posted on CanadaBuys.gc.ca for a period of 15 days, allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.
Statement of Capabilities
Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the goods, services or construction services described in the ACAN may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the contact person identified in this notice on or before the closing date of this notice. The statement of capabilities must clearly demonstrate how the supplier meets the advertised requirements.
Inquiries
To ensure a response before the ACAN closing date, all enquiries about this requirement must be submitted in writing and received by the Contracting Authority at least five (5) calendar days prior to the ACAN closing date.
