Full Description

The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Livestock, Poultry & Seed Program intends to purchase on a sole source basis shall egg candling lights that use LED technology from AHPharma, Inc. located at 27013 East Lillian Street, Hebron, MD 21830. The LED lights were designed using research conducted by USDA's Agriclutural Research Service (ARS). ARS tested a wide array of LED bulbs and found specific bulb types with a narrow color spectrum that would be most suitable to candling shell eggs in a darkened room. ARS also designed the basic circuitry for manufacturing a few test candlers in their laboratory. This technology and design was passed on to AHPharma, the only company that was interesed in developing an LED candling light. No other vendors can provide this LED lighting. USDA plans to issue an award to AHPharma for the following: AviLighting Egg Candler Stationary - Qty. 219 with option to increase up to Qty. 400 AviLighting Egg Candler Mobile - Qty. 59 with option to increase up to Qty. 150 AviLighting Egg Candler Case 0 Qtyl 59 with option to incrase up to Qty. 150 This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotations or proposals.
