INVITATION TO BID MACON WATER AUTHORITY MACON, GEORGIA Sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the installation of AWTP-(2) 1000 Hp Reservoir Vertical Turbine (the ¿Project¿) will be received by the Macon Water Authority (the ¿Owner¿), at the Macon Water Authority, 537 Hemlock Street, Dorothy Black Training Room, Macon, Georgia 31201 until 2:00 P. M., local time, November 17, 2026, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. All bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at 703 River Bend Road, Amerson Water Treatment Plant, Administration Building Lobby, Macon, GA at 10:00 A.M. on November 3, 2026. All bid questions must be submitted to the Owner by 10:00 A.M. on November 9, 2026. The Bidder should attend the pre-bid meeting in its entirety.
The Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools and incidentals required for the installation (replacement) of two (2) 1000 HP motors at the Amerson Water Treatment Plant (AWTP) Reservoir Pump Station. Winning bidder must provide, install and laser-align the motors. Installation will include providing a crane, removing and replacing the pump house roof, existing motor removal and transport to on-site storage location, providing provisions for vibration detectors 90 degrees apart with ¼-28 UNF tapped hole to mount our sensors, providing (and laser aligning shafts) a new coupling for each unit, making all electrical disconnections and reconnections, installing a vibration system (and ensuring proper operation), performing vibration analysis before and after new motor installation, and all other tasks, requirements, and specifications outlined in the contract documents.
