SPECIAL NOTICE RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS OF MANAMANA STONES, HAWAII VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Pacific West Region, Honolulu Major Acquisition Buying Office intends to issue a firm fixed price, sole source award to The Edith Kanaka'ole Foundation (EKF) in the estimated amount of $105,000 for Research and Analysis of Manamana Stones at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. EKF was found uniquely qualified based on their expertise and development of the Papak¿ Makawalu methodology and for supporting a Hawaiian cultural based class of experts in the study of Papahulilani. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for quote/proposal and no solicitation will be issued.
