Backstop Fence Replacement, Bullpen Installation & Lighting Installation

The City of Markham is soliciting bids for solicitation 208-T-26 to perform backstop fence replacement, bullpen installation, and lighting installation across four locations: Milliken Mills Park, Coledale Park, Elson Park, and Robinson Park. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of existing fencing and footings, the installation of renovated backstop fencing and bullpen enclosures, and the placement of specific Mar-Co pitching rubbers, home plates, and RedKit catcher's boxes. Additionally, the contractor must install three type AA lighting posts according to MJS Consultants electrical details and ensure full site restoration of any damaged turf, clay, or asphalt. Bidders must submit a Domestic Supply Chain Plan showing at least 70 percent of the bid price is Canadian/Ontario content to remain compliant. A bid bond of 39,000 dollars is required, and the successful contractor must provide performance and labour/materials bonds equal to 50 percent of the total bid price each, covering a two-year warranty period. Payments are processed 28 calendar days after the receipt of a proper invoice. All materials must be delivered in original factory packaging, and the contractor must adhere to strict handling standards for epoxy-coated reinforcing steel and comply with AODA and WSIB regulations.
