Baker Boulevard Over Mojave River Bridge Replacement

The San Bernardino County Department of Public Works is soliciting bids for Work Order H14278, which involves the demolition of an existing two-lane timber bridge and the construction of a new four-lane cast-in-place reinforced concrete slab structure over the Mojave River on Baker Boulevard. The project scope includes the installation of cast-in-drilled hole piles, bridge approach slabs, curb, gutter, sidewalk improvements, highway lighting, storm drains, and channel rock slope lining. The work is located between Mill Road and Death Valley Road, approximately 0.17 miles northwest of Interstate 15. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder providing the lowest total bid price, which is calculated as the sum of the base bid and two additive alternate bid schedules. Bidders must provide a bid security of at least 10 percent of the bid amount and, upon award, furnish both a faithful performance bond and a labor and materials bond for 100 percent of the contract price. Mandatory submission requirements include a signed Noncollusion Declaration and a California Air Resources Board certification of compliance for off-road diesel-fueled fleets. Contractors are required to pay general prevailing wage rates for San Bernardino County and are encouraged to participate in the Emerging Small Business Enterprise program.
