Base Notice: Los Angeles Air Force Base Network Support Services Contract - FA8771-04-D-0003_MG06

The Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) 61st Communications Squadron (CS), intends to issue a sole-source extension for the current Network Support Services Contract by 12 months (3 month base with three - 3 month options) via modification to delivery order FA8771-04-D-0003-MG06; it was awarded as a competitive Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract on a NETCENTS-1 (NC-1) contract. The current period of performance will be extended to cover the period from 1 September 2014 to 31 August 2015. The modification will be issued to Harris IT Services Corporation, 21000 Atlantic Blvd., Suite 300, Dulles, VA 20166, Classification Code 541513 applies. In accordance with AFI33-112 Section 14.2 published 7 Jan 2011, NETCENTS contracts are the mandatory source for purchasing netcentric and information technology products and solutions that fall under the scope of the NETCENTS contract requirements. The current Network Support Services Contract with Harris IT Services Corporation provides network control center, information assurance, configuration and database management, consolidated video teleconferencing (VTC), technology refresh, and help desk services. The Contractor provides these IT services for Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) and the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) including personnel stationed at Fort MacArthur, Aerospace complex, D10, S30, and several remote Operating Locations (OL). Also, the contractor provides direct support for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Data Center, Infrared Space Systems (IS) Scientific Engineering Research Facility (SERF), Contracting (PK) ConWrite, and the medical squadron's unique applications. A 12-month extension to the current Network Support Services contract will be executed to allow time to consolidate all communication technology services acquisitions to be under one contract using the mandatory Air Force Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract.
