This solicitation, numbered SPE7L7-27-T-0360 and issued by the Defense Logistics Agency, is for the procurement of two battery assemblies under NSN 6140016049286. The contract consists of two line items, each for one unit, with delivery required within 20 days after the order. Shipments are designated for the USS Carter Hall LSD 50 and the USS Ronald Reagan CVN 76, with both inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination. The procurement is governed by NAICS code 335910 and incorporates the Buy American and Balance of Payments Program. Technical requirements specify a Type I sealed lead acid battery with a non-extendable shelf life of 12 months. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and RP001, with marking following MIL-STD-129 and special marking code 32 for shelf life. For batteries exceeding 75 pounds, boxes must feature die-cut holes for handle access. As these are hazardous materials, the contractor must comply with IP025 and 49 CFR regulations for nonspillable batteries, ensuring terminals are protected against short circuits and outer packaging is durably marked NONSPILLABLE. Quality assurance will be managed via MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 sampling plans, requiring zero non-conformances for acceptance. Invoicing and payment are to be processed electronically through the Wide Area WorkFlow system.
