Addendum #2 - BDC23-25-26 DEP Annex - Building BL700 012 - Metal Roof Repairs

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, is soliciting formal, competitive, sealed bids for metal roof repairs at the DEP Annex Building BL700 012 located at 3915 Commonwealth Boulevard in Tallahassee, Florida. Bids must be submitted no later than 3:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, to the specified address in Tallahassee, with hand deliveries accepted at the Carr Building Welcome Desk. All bidders must be licensed contractors authorized to work in Florida and are required to be prequalified by the Bureau of Design and Construction through a biennial prequalification letter; those not prequalified must submit a current state contractor license certification and corporate charter registration. The scope of work includes completing base repairs to the existing metal roof system as outlined in the contract documents and offering an optional alternate to install new roof decking from truss #3 to truss #9 using neoprene washer galvanized screws to match existing conditions. Builder’s Risk insurance is mandatory and must be included in the bid price. The project must comply with applicable green building standards as mandated by Executive Order 07-126 and Section 255.252(3), Florida Statutes. All vendors and subcontractors performing work on the project are required to use the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify system to confirm employment eligibility of all personnel in Florida.
