AI Contract Overview
This contract pertains to the procurement of laboratory beakers made of borosilicate glass, specifically Griffin low-form beakers with a 1000 mL capacity, to contain liquids, and equipped with a spout. The beakers are approximately 140-150 mm in height and are packaged in sets of six per unit package. Packaging requirements adhere to commercial standards as specified in the procurement documents, ensuring that each unit is securely sealed to prevent damage or breakage during transport. Exterior shipping containers must be suitable for commercial use, including export if necessary, providing safe delivery by common or other carriers at the lowest possible rate to the designated delivery point. The materials must be marked according to Medical Marking Standard No. 1, replacing prior military standards, with copies available through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The contract references technical and quality requirements from the DLA Master List that control compliance based on the solicitation or award date. Additional packaging, security, and identification protocols are mandated, including specific removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies and coverage under defense information protection standards. The contract includes a single package quantity with delivery required within five days, overseen by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain under solicitation number SPE2DS-26-T-049V.
