AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the procurement of 12 annular ball bearings with part number 3110-01-033-5719, issued under solicitation SPE4A6-26-T-08GR by the Defense Logistics Agency’s ASC Commodities Division. The item is classified as a commercial item and must be manufactured in the United States, its outlying areas, or Canada, with over 50% of the total cost of its components—rolling elements, retainer, inner race, or outer race—originating from these regions. Contractors must submit a completed declaration regarding the domestic or foreign nature of materials, available via the DLA foreign bearing waiver website; failure to provide this may disqualify the quote. The only acceptable source is Schatz Bearing Corp. with CAGE code 21760, and the item must conform to configuration control item DWG 2505435, latest revision, with identification per MIL-STD-130N. All technical and quality requirements referenced by R or I numbers are governed by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with applicable revisions determined by acquisition type and solicitation timelines. Sampling must comply with MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331, Table 1, with zero non-conformances required unless otherwise specified; attribute verification levels are assigned as VII, IV, and II for critical, major, and minor characteristics respectively. The bearing is subject to export control under ITAR or EAR, and contractors must hold approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program certification, complete required DOD training and DLA questionnaire, and receive DLA authorization to handle the technical data. Delivery is required within five days of award, with a response deadline of July 29, 2026; the solicitation may be canceled or held pending a waiver if no compliant offers are received.
