Project Description: This project consists of approximately one quarter mile of new trail and 14 miles of trail reconstruction. Trail reconstruction will be along routes reconditioned in 2012 or later. Work items include: rock blasting, new tread, drainage, bridge approach and puncheon approach work, turnpike construction, drainage structure construction and reconditioning, trail reconstruction, mining mitigation work on an hourly basis, and clearing and grubbing. Bridge and puncheon materials are going to be ordered in a separate contract. Project Location and Directions. Site is accessible from Homestake Exit 233 on I-15 approximately 5 miles east of Butte, Montana. Head east on Forest Service road no. 222 (Delmoe Lake Road) for two (2) miles. Project is located just above the trucker pull-off on the corner near the Burlington Northern Railroad. Construction Magnitude: $25,000 to $100,000 It is estimated that complete solicitation documents will be posted in 15 days from today's date.
