Behavioral Health Sponsorships

Washington County Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health Division, is seeking behavioral health service organizations to host public events from July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2032. The primary goals of these sponsorships are to increase community awareness, secure funding for behavioral health initiatives, develop local partnerships, celebrate achievements, and provide education to reduce stigma. While events may be held outside of Washington County, the providing services must be located within the county and designed to benefit its residents. Agreement terms are established annually with an option to renew for five years, and funding is subject to the availability of funds and approval of specific provider proposals. Eligible organizations must have at least two years of experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders and must serve uninsured and underinsured populations. Providers are required to utilize evidence-based or promising practices, implement quality assurance processes, and comply with OAR rules and 42 CFR Part 2 for substance use disorder services. Mandatory insurance coverages include General Liability, Worker's Compensation, Automobile Liability, Professional Liability, Cyber-Security Insurance, and Sexual Abuse and Molestation Liability. This solicitation is a Letter of Interest with a response deadline of October 9, 2026, and the county may initiate a formal Request for Proposal process following the review of these interests.
