Big Chico Overlay

The Big Chico Overlay project, managed by the California Department of Transportation District 2, involves road maintenance and improvement work on State Highway 32 in Chico, Tehama County. Using state funding, the project consists of a 0.10 foot pavement overlay with isolated digouts, including pavement mill and fill at begin and end conforms. Additional scope includes the removal and replacement of guardrails as needed, backing shoulders to standard, and the placement of traffic stripes. All work will be performed within the existing roadway prism, and no work will be conducted on bridge decks.
