The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed an amendment to Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number EPIMS-ELD-47863-R2 for the project applicant, Sierra Pacific Industries. This amendment pertains to the Bits of Things Timber Harvesting Plan 4-23-00158-ELD located in El Dorado County. The scope of work is specifically limited to changing the location of work point 4 and replacing a permanent rock-armored crossing with the installation of a temporary skid crossing. The project is situated within the Ice House Reservoir and Carpenter Creek CALWATER watersheds and their connecting tributaries, spanning various sections of Townships 11N and Ranges 14E, 15E, and 16E, as mapped by the Kyburz and Pyramid Peak USGS Quad Maps. The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection serves as the lead agency for this effort. A Notice of Determination issued on August 25, 2025, concludes that the project will not have a significant environmental effect within the jurisdiction of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, provided that mandatory mitigation measures are implemented.
