The State of Alaska Department of Health, Division of Senior and Disabilities Services, issued Request for Information RFI 27-004 on October 9, 2026, to identify qualified disability services organizations capable of providing employment training for a potential new adult-based Project SEARCH site. Unlike traditional youth models, this initiative focuses on interns who have already graduated or are not enrolled in a school district. The goal is to provide total workplace immersion within a host business environment, leading to integrated, year-round employment paying at least minimum wage for 16 or more hours per week. The selected partner would be responsible for providing site instructors to manage daily operations and data entry, as well as skills trainers to provide one-on-one job training and assessment reporting, all while adhering to the fidelity requirements and curricula developed by Cincinnati Children's Hospital. This RFI is for informational purposes only and does not obligate the state to conduct a formal solicitation or award a contract. Interested organizations must submit their responses via email to Procurement Officer Dorothy Tauaese-Puletapuai by 2:00 PM on October 28, 2026. Submissions must include organization details, experience with employment skills development, involvement with recognized training curricula, data collection capabilities, and a comprehensive project plan detailing staffing, estimated costs, and the ability to start within six months.
