AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the procurement of Blood Typing Kits designed for medical use, specifically for determining blood group and Rh factor from a fingerstick sample. Each kit includes a test card pre-impregnated with anti-A, anti-B, and anti-Rh reagents, along with a lancet, alcohol prep pad, and pipette. The kits must be packaged commercially per the specifications, with each complete unit securely sealed in containers that protect against damage or breakage during shipping. Packaging and marking must comply with Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding previous MIL-STD-129 requirements, and all containers must clearly display the lot number and manufacture date. The unit of issue is a package containing five kits, with a required shelf life of 18 months; however, no more than three months should have elapsed between manufacture and government delivery. The contract is issued by the Department of Defense, specifically through the Medical Supply Chain MD Surg FSF office, under solicitation number SPE2DS-26-T-090Z. The requested quantity is four packages, with a 10-day delivery requirement after order date. The quality and technical requirements are governed by established DLA master lists, with relevant procurement regulations incorporated. The contract also includes provisions for the removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition standards and secure transportation to the designated delivery point at the lowest possible carrier rate. Communication regarding the contract is managed through a primary contact in the Defense Logistics Agency.
