AI Contract Overview
Honeywell PRO-Warrington Model 5001B firefighting boots are specially engineered for proximity, structural, and hazardous material emergency response, meeting or exceeding NFPA 1971 and NFPA 1990 standards. These 14-inch pull-on bunker boots are constructed entirely of flame-resistant, water-repellant full-grain cowhide leather with a triple-component design: a durable outer shell, a Kevlar layer with aluminized PBI fabric for radiant heat protection, and a Crosstech® moisture barrier bootie with Omaha linings for waterproofing and thermal insulation. The boots feature a steel safety toe, steel shank, and a lightweight yet high-strength thermally non-conductive puncture-resistant bottom plate rated to withstand up to 1500 N of force. The Vibram® Fire/Ice outsole provides superior traction on wet, dry, icy, and uneven terrain, while the PowerToe and Heel Kicker rubber reinforcements offer abrasion resistance and enhanced grip during donning and doffing. A thermoplastic heel lock counter with foam ensures proper fit and reduces stress on the lower back and pelvis. All boots include a removable orthopedically correct polyurethane insert, Nomex® pull loops for easy removal, and full-height shin guards for impact protection. The boots are Berry Compliant, union-made in the USA, and labeled with all required certifications, including third-party verification and Bar-Code 128 serial numbering on each pair and outer packaging. Three pairs are required under contract SPE1C1-26-T-1527, with delivery to FPO AE 09576 within 20 days of order placement. The boots must be packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1E and marked per MIL-STD-129, with no variance allowed in quantity. Shipping must be via traceable freight methods, not parcel post, and the contract specifies destination inspection and acceptance points. Each pair includes a user guide and compliance labels affixed to the boot liners, with the NSN 8430-01-733-1111 assigned for federal tracking. The procurement is managed by the Department of Defense under the C and T Supply Chain, with Roxane Owen as the primary point of contact.
