The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to award a sole source temporary lease for up to 3-years to Massachusetts Port Authority/Airport Authority at Boston Logan International Airport. TSA currently occupies a total of 748 rentable square feet located in "Old Tower" and is being relocated into 600 rentable square feet of space within the terminal. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action for leased space that is currently contracted under Transportation Security Administration, Direct Leasing Branch. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This justification applies to all TSA continuing need requirements for support and administrative work space that is required to be on airport property at the Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). TSA space must be located on-airport to effectively carry out its mission in direct airport support of the screener workforce and administration staff that supports the screener workforce and other functions located on airport property. TSA has a current lease with which will expire on 09/30/2019. The lease shall include janitorial services and utilities as part of the rental consideration, and have the ability to securely house a 24-hour operation within the space. Due to mission critical duties, the space must be accessible by major arterial roads and/ or public transportation systems to Boston Logan International Airport. The Government may consider alternative space if economically advantageous; otherwise the Government intends to pursue a sole source acquisition. All offerors should be aware that the Government will consider the cost of relocation, alterations, etc., when deciding whether it should relocate to another in-terminal or off-site location. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. TSA will not reimburse for any costs incurred by interested parties in providing a notification of interest and/or capability statement in response to this posting. (Submissions by other than the owner or manager of a property must be accompanied by a letter from the owner granting permission to make a general offering of the space.)
