The vendor will be responsible for fulfillment of the order, packing, and shipping of all items to the NIOSH Alice Hamilton Laboratory in Cincinnati, OH. An existing CDC laboratory desktop connected to the ISLE (CDC Property # 357548) will be used to operate the i-Raman NXG 785 S instrument using the SpecSuite software. The NIOSH request for level III approval for the SpecSuite software has been submitted. The μStat-i M8ONE EIS instrument runs on DropView software which the laboratory possesses currently, but may require an upgrade. It will not require any additional external computer system for operation. The instrument is designated for laboratory use only and will be connected to the current ISLE system.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, through the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, is seeking a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order for two complete handheld or backpack-mounted mobile SLAM LiDAR scanning systems. These systems will be utilized by the Pittsburgh Mining Research Division for 3D mapping and deformation measurements of roof, floor, and rib movement in underground coal mines. The procurement includes the hardware, all necessary software licenses for data processing and export in formats such as E57 and LAS/LAZ, a minimum of 24 hours of virtual instructor-led training for three government personnel, and at least one year of warranty and support. Technical requirements specify a measurement range of 0.5 to 25 meters, a horizontal field of view of at least 360 degrees, a vertical field of view of at least 270 degrees, and a point measurement rate of at least 420,000 points per second. Systems must operate between 0°C and 40°C and function without continuous internet access. Award will be granted to a responsible quoter who is technically acceptable, meets the 60-day delivery requirement to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and provides the lowest evaluated total price. Quotations are due by September 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET, and must include a completed minimum requirements compliance checklist and an AI use compliance and risk management plan if artificial intelligence is utilized in the solution.

Rugged, Mobile Data Acquisition System for Coal Mine Roof Safety Research
Solicitation # 75D301-26-Q-79258
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has issued Request for Quotation 75D301-26-Q-79258 for a rugged, mobile data acquisition system to support coal mine roof safety research. This unrestricted acquisition seeks a single, field-ready system capable of being installed on roof bolting machines in underground mining environments. The system must be highly durable, featuring an IP67 ingress protection rating and the ability to withstand significant shock and vibration consistent with MIL-STD-810 standards. Technical requirements include support for at least 12 simultaneous channels, onboard data storage, wireless remote configuration, synchronized video integration via at least one camera, and full interoperability with Siemens Simcenter Testlab software. The government intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order to the lowest-priced technically acceptable quotation that meets all minimum requirements. Evaluation factors include technical acceptability, delivery capability within six months of award, and the provision of a manufacturer's standard commercial warranty. A critical component of the proposal is the AI Use Compliance and Risk Management Plan; any offeror planning or potentially using Artificial Intelligence must submit this plan to avoid being deemed non-responsive. Additionally, all electronic content must comply with Section 508 accessibility standards. Quotations must be submitted electronically to the designated point of contact by September 22, 2026, at 9:00 PM ET, and must include a completed Technical Compliance Matrix and supporting manufacturer documentation.

Systematic Information Review
Solicitation # 75D301-26-Q-79261
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, specifically the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, is seeking a commercial end-to-end automated service to support systematic information review and literature validation. The objective is to generate traceable and reproducible pools of scientific literature to inform occupational safety and health risk management strategies. This acquisition focuses on the application, configuration, and refinement of an existing commercial service, which may utilize artificial intelligence with human-in-the-loop features, rather than the development of a new platform. The contract is a 100 percent small business set-aside under NAICS code 541990, structured as a single firm-fixed-price, deliverable-based agreement with a fully funded 36-month period of performance. The government will award the contract based on a best-value tradeoff process where non-price factors are significantly more important than price. Key evaluation criteria include demonstrated baseline capability, specifically requiring over 85 percent sensitivity and specificity against human review, as well as the technical approach, management plan, and security and accessibility compliance. Deliverables include literature retrieval outputs, comparative quality assurance analyses, and biweekly progress meetings. The contractor must adhere to strict security standards, including the handling of Controlled Unclassified Information and compliance with HIPAA and the Privacy Act. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility or an approved hosted environment, with virtual collaboration as the primary method of interaction.
