Building 53 Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) Unit

Anticipated Issue Date is on or about 3/20/2012. This solicitation is being issued as 100% total set-aside for women-owned small businesses program for the Design and Installation of a Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) Unit. In a separate procurement, the Bureau of Land Management has purchased a down-flow Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) unit with free cooling (glycol-cooled) and a roof-mounted dry cooler (evaporative cooler) with steel support frame. The system is sized for approximately 25 tons of cooling. It is anticipated that this project will be of a Design/Build delivery method, and as such Contractor will be required to provide design and engineering services necessary to complete the following requirements: o Provide electrical, mechanical and structural engineering plans, permits, documents and obtain GSA approvals. ? All design work shall be performed, approved and stamped by a licensed architect/engineer. ? As this project involves placing equipment on the roof, a structural engineering study will be required to verify roof structure is capable of supporting the loads. Once design is complete the Contractor will need to follow the requirements for the installation: ? Provide full installation and commissioning of the CRAC Unit. ? Specifications for the already government-purchased equipment will be provided with the solicitation package. BLM has purchased only the air conditioning and roof-mounted fan units. No other materials, installation services by others or equipment will be provided. Contractor is responsible for all labor, supervision, and for all other materials and equipment necessary to accomplish the installation of a fully operational CRAC system.
