Temple University (“Temple”) is seeking qualified contractors to bid on work for the General Construction Package for Temple’s 1500 North Broad Street Development Project (Burk Mansion), Project No. DGS 1104-81 Phase 1 (the “Project”), located at 1500 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19121.The proposed renovations will be at 1500 North Broad Street located on Temple’s Main Campus at Burk Mansion. The Project involves the renovations and improvements to both Burk Mansion, the detached Conservatory building and the property surrounding both buildings including the structural improvements of both buildings, with the related mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection, as well as exterior improvements, civil, and site work at the property.This Project is subject to a Delegation Agreement between Temple, the Pennsylvania Department of General Services and the Governor’s Office of the Budget. This Project will be a multi-prime project delivered pursuant to a multi-prime contract delivery structure. The Prime Contractors will include General Construction, Mechanical-HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing and Fire Protection, and each other contractor identified by Temple as being a Prime Contractor for the Project and which has been engaged directly by Temple to perform construction or supply machinery, materials, equipment or labor for construction of the Project.General ConstructionThe Scope of Work for the General Construction Package shall include all necessary services, Work, labor, materials, supervision, tools, supplies, equipment, insurance, and applicable taxes necessary to complete General Construction Package as shown in the Contract Documents for the Project. The Scope of Work for the General Construction Package is further specified in the Agreement, the Scope of Work, the Plans and Specifications, and other documents that will be uploaded to TUebid as part of the solicitation.Release of General Construction PackageThe General Construction Package is tentatively scheduled to be released for bid on October 7, 2026, with bids to be due on November 18, 2026.All bidding information is released and processed through TUebid, Temple’s on-line solicitation management system.To be invited to participate in the bidding process through TUebid, interested parties must contact Naomi Greenberg via e-mail at projects@temple.edu for written instructions.
