Acquisition C-5 Battery Control Electronics Module, Edge Lighted Panel and Annunciator Dimmer Circuit Card Assembly, and Single Board Computer Circuit Card Assembly


The US Air Force anticipates a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Requirements type Request for Proposal (RFP), FA8538-26-R-0013, to produce and deliver spares for the C-5 Battery Control Electronics Module, Edge Lighted Panel and Annunciator Dimmer Circuit Card Assembly, and Single Board Computer Circuit Card Assembly. The contract will consist of a Basic Ordering Period (12 months) and four (4) 12-month Ordering Periods. This anticipated contract action is in support of the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), 638th Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG), 409th Supply Chain Management Squadron (SCMS). The anticipated acquisition will provide serviceable assets to meet the Government’s required delivery schedule of 36-38 weeks after receipt of funded delivery order. The C-5 Battery Control Electronics Module, Edge Lighted Panel and Annunciator Dimmer Circuit Card Assembly, and Single Board Computer Circuit Card Assembly is expected to remain on the C-5 fleet for its remaining life cycle, currently scheduled for 2045.


The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate utilizing Other Than Full and Open procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own any technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Symetrics Industries, LLC; DBA: Extant Aerospace (CAGE Code: 22830), is the only source with adequate knowledge and capabilities of producing the C-5 Battery Control Electronics Module, Edge Lighted Panel and Annunciator Dimmer Circuit Card Assembly, and Single Board Computer Circuit Card Assembly requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities deliver these assets.
