From the synopsis of the solicitation, we understand that the construction work for this project is strictly outside the building and no construction will be inside the building. Is this correct? A1:The intent is to replace the grounds water main to the shut off of each building or device. Domestic water to Building 1 will be the shut off manifold, basement mechanical room. Domestic water OPA will be the shut off manifold, 1st floor mechanical room. Fire protection will be to PIV or shut off valve on manifold inside building. Valves on fire hydrants are to be replaced. Q2: Para 1, sentence 2 refers to "domestic water systems" while sentence 2 refers to "...piping, fittings and valves associated with fire protection to the buildings". Please clarify if the project addresses domestic water supply or fire protection water supply, or both. A2: This project addresses both the domestic water supply and the valving connections that provide fire protection service to the buildings and grounds (hydrants).
