This contract involves Architectural Engineering Services for various studies and design tasks at the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF). Originally announced under solicitation AE01-08 on January 4, 2008, the initial solicitation received fewer responses from firms with lead offices within a 300-mile radius of MAF than expected. Consequently, the original solicitation was canceled, and a new solicitation, AE03-08, was issued on March 6, 2008, expanding the geographic radius to 500 miles to encourage broader competition among architectural engineering firms. Firms that submitted responses to the original solicitation AE01-08 will not be considered for selection under the new solicitation. All relevant procurement documents are accessible online through the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Business Opportunities website. This solicitation is identified under NAICS code 541330 and pertains specifically to architectural engineering professional services aimed at supporting miscellaneous studies and design tasks at MAF.
