Solicitation # 7074
The Town of Yucca Valley is soliciting professional civil engineering design services for the Yucca Trail Widening Project, located between Palomar/Avalon Avenue and La Contenta Road in Yucca Valley, California. The selected contractor will be responsible for creating a comprehensive Plans, Specifications, and Engineer's Estimates package, which includes street improvement, signing, striping, and streetlight plans, as well as final cost estimates and record drawings. The scope requires the consultant to evaluate the project for safety, constructability, utility conflicts, right-of-way constraints, and ADA compliance, utilizing the latest version of AutoCAD and adhering to the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction and Town driveway standards. The agreement is for an initial term of two years, with a possible two-year extension upon mutual consent. Proposals must be submitted in two separate sealed envelopes by December 3, 2026, with the technical proposal limited to ten pages. Evaluation criteria include the service approach, company qualifications, past performance, proximity of the contractor's office, and the ability to commence work immediately. Compensation will be negotiated after the contractor is selected, and the Town aims to process undisputed monthly invoices within forty-five days. While the contractor must provide worker's compensation and indemnity insurance, it is noted that California prevailing wage laws do not apply to this specific agreement.

A/E STATEMENT OF WORK Maintain Building 1 sub-basement & basement utilities Project 608-21-100 INTRODUCTION: The basement and subbasement utilities are in desperate need of inspection and replacement. This project would address the main culprits of the deficient utilities, specifically the steam generation and condensate return systems. The work will include replacing steam traps, steam lines, condensate lines, strainers, valves, pressure reducing valves and pump stations. The underground steam supply and condensate return will also be replaced during this effort. There should be redundancy of underground utilities to preclude unnecessary trenching to maintain these lines. There will be some remaining asbestos insulation scattered in minimally accessible areas where the steam, water and electrical piping is located that will need to be abated as it is found. The majority of the work for this project would occur in the basement and subbasement of building 1 and 15. The project is slated for construction in 2022. There will be two items which will be priced as deduct alternates: These items are as follows. Feasibility study of switching from steam heat in hospital (bldg. 1 and 15) to hot water heating via steam to hot water heat exchangers. Feasibility study and conceptual design of medical center water treatment system SCOPE: The scope of this project consists of Architectural and Engineer (A/E) services required to complete the project. The period of performance for the design is 270 calendar days and shall begin upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) by the Contracting Officer. The construction budget is $6,500,000.

Replacement-in-Kind Repair of Existing Perimeter Security Fence (Ameristar Impasse Trident) Brand Name or Equal
Solicitation # 36C24127Q0041
The Department of Veterans Affairs VA Boston Healthcare System is soliciting a contract for a localized replacement-in-kind repair of the perimeter security fence at the Brockton VA Campus in Massachusetts. The project focuses on restoring five affected fence bays and six associated post locations that were damaged by winter snow-removal activities. The objective is to return the damaged sections to their original alignment, configuration, appearance, structural stability, and security function. The benchmark product is the Ameristar Impasse Trident system, and while genuine components are preferred, equal alternatives may be proposed if they meet all salient characteristics, including the use of corrosion-resistant tamper-resistant hardware and the maintenance of a continuous security boundary. This procurement is a total set-aside for certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) under NAICS code 238990. The period of performance is scheduled from December 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. Award decisions will be based on the most advantageous offer, considering price, technical capability, and past performance, with a requirement for three relevant references. Proposals must be submitted in three separate PDF volumes (Technical, Past Performance, and Price) to the contract specialist by November 5, 2026. Final acceptance is contingent upon a satisfactory installation inspection, which may include a review by VA Police to ensure operational security.
